Everything you ever wanted to know about the daily life of Brynn, and then some.

We've got ourselves a little busy kiddo! We took her for her 15 month checkup on Tuesday and the Dr. just kept saying things like, "You're making me exhausted just looking at you!" She said this basic statement over and over, changing a few words here and there. By the end of the appointment I was ready to say, "Listen lady, she's confined to a tiny room, and she's not running all over. What are you exhausted from?" What kind of a family Dr. is exhausted spending 10 minutes with a 15 month old? ANYWAAAY!!!

Brynn is very busy and is constantly on the move. No time to sit around doing nothing! She loves to help us do everything. She understands so much of what we say to her and is so helpful. When she dirties her diaper, we ask her, "Do we need to change your diaper?" and she runs to her room and to the changing table and sometimes even says "Potty" while she's waiting for us slow people to get there :)

When she wants milk, she says "myo". Not sure where she picked that word up from. She's only been saying it for about a week or two. If we ask her if she wants milk, she goes to the fridge and tries to open the door. Every once in a while, she gets on her little naughty streak when she thinks we're not looking and tips her sippy cup over and watches the milk drip onto the hardwood floor. When we catch her and take it away, she promptly wants a paper towel so she can wipe it up. What a good helper. Yeah, if only she didn't spill the milk in the first place :)

She also loves to help us load the dishwasher (with her board books), close the dishwasher door, close the fridge door, close the closet door, take groceries out of the bags, put groceries into the fridge, pick up her toys, pick out her clothes for the day, and get dressed :)

We don't dare say the word "outside" unless we are truly going outside because she LOVES it out there, rain or shine, and will immediately expect to go "side" if she hears the word. She knows to grab her shoes and her coat and head to the door. And what a bummer if we're not actually planning to go outside. Redirect, redirect!

She is constantly babbling, unless of course we try to prove how many words she knows and (gasp) ask her to say something for someone else. Then she clams up and gets all shy and can't speak! However, anyone who spends any amount of time with her is treated to lots of random babble (that apparently isn't as clear to everyone else as it is to Gary and I) as well as some very clear words that make up a rather nice vocabulary.

Since most of you don't see her much, you'll have to take my word for it that her current vocabulary is as follows: mommy, daddy, puppy, myo (milk), side (outside), potty, hi, bye, cho-cho, ball, baby, uh oh, up, eye, hat, hot, boo berry, owie, no, yes, yea, boo, tank you, wow, socks, book, and gampa. And she loves to say her ABC's, which go something like this: "E, A, O, E, B, O, A, E, O"....etc, (with a little bit of the ABC tune to it.)

Brynn loves to dance and can not resist bobbing her head, swaying from side to side, and bouncing up and down whenever she hears music. Sometimes, she doesn't even need music, she just starts dancing. It's pretty fun to watch. Today Gary and I joined in and starting dancing around the living room too. You should have seen the look on her face as she stopped and stared at us in disbelief. She was like, "Uh, what the heck are you guys doing?" Then she just got a huge smile on her face and started dancing again and the three of us danced and danced to no music at all......and who could help but giggle and giggle while partaking in such silliness.

She is really into giving hugs and kisses lately and is just starting to master the puckered lips kiss, instead of the open-mouth lick your lips kind. Much better. There's nothing like a big old hug and kiss from from a happy toddler to start your day :)

After a little run in with her little friend Brody at daycare last week, we decided that Brynn was just way too bored for the infant room and we moved her the toddler room. This room is a way better fit for her right now. When we used to take her to the infant room in the morning, she would look around bored like, "Hmm, what should I do? There's babies all over and nothing for me to do." Now, we drop her off and she runs in and starts playing with kids that are totally on her level. We are really excited about this move because she now has her mind stimulated daily and they go outside and play hard all day so she is working off plenty of that energy too!

I know this post had LOTS of rambling information but it's been a long time since I've shared anything about Brynn other than pictures and I had so much to say! I actually have quite a bit more info floating around in my head, but I'm tired and need to get to bed! I've been meaning to post this for quite a while but who has time to sit here and do this? This post took me three sittings as it is......

As for pictures, please refer to the beginning of this post about our child who never sits still. This would be the reason for barely any pictures of Brynn actually looking at the camera, let alone looking at the camera AND smiling. There's just no time for such things in the life of a busy 15 month old! So, most pictures lately have been "action shots". Stupid camera delay....Anyway, I have scoured the last couple months of pictures and I think I've found a couple that I will share later this week that actually show the kiddo hamming it up for the camera....I think a couple of them show her strapped into a highchair or carseat, you now, so we actually "catch" her in the frame :)
