Pig-Bat

This morning as Gary was strapping Brynn into her carseat I heard him say something to her about a "pig-bat". I asked him what he was talking about and he pointed out the animal hanging from the handle of the carseat and said it's a freaky looking pig-bat. Conversation as follows:

Dawn: "It's a bee."
Gary: "Bees aren't pink."
Dawn: "Bats aren't pink either."
Gary: "Right, but pigs are. It's a pig-bat"
Dawn: "It's a queen bee. That's why there's a pink cape"
Gary: "Huh, that's dumb. I still say it's a pig-bat."

Brynn's going to be a confused little girl when she's old enough to ask questions.
